Meet Sara 🎵

Hi there, and thanks so much for visiting my page! 👋

I’m Sara, the face behind Music & Movement with Sara.

Originally from Britain, I’ve been lucky enough to call Switzerland home since 2012. I’m a teacher by profession and have always been passionate about the benefits of interactive, fun and playful learning for children of all ages. I am also a mum of 2 energetic boys, who love nothing more than to sing and dance together with me, whether we are on top of a mountain (very regularly) doing our best Maria von Trapp impressions, hanging out at home jiggling to I like to Move It Move It or in the car making up our own verses of Wheels on the ... Tractor. 

I’ve always believed that when children are enjoying themselves, they are naturally more curious, confident and motivated to join in and learn. In my own teaching, I loved using songs, music, movement and play to bring lessons to life. Seeing children light up, join in and learn without even realising they were learning was one of my favourite parts of teaching and a technique I use at home as well!

That’s the inspiration behind Music & Movement with Sara.

I want to create a space where little ones can sing, dance, move, play and explore, while developing confidence, creativity and social skills along the way. And just as importantly, I want it to be a place where parents and carers can have fun too — making happy memories together and enjoying the magic of music.

I speak both English and German and warmly welcome families of all nationalities and backgrounds. My classes are inclusive, relaxed and friendly, and absolutely everyone is welcome.
